The detail
How decisions are made
Requests are reviewed and approved by Lavender Medical’s regulatory and finance team, independently of our commercial and sales teams. Lavender Medical plays no part in selecting individual beneficiaries, or in determining programme content, faculty or venue. Decisions are final.
No Lavender Medical representative can approve a request, commit funding, or promise an outcome. Please do not ask one about the status of a request.
Fellowship and scholarship grants
A fellowship or scholarship grant is paid to the organisation where the healthcare professionals are in training. That organisation offers the award, sets the criteria and chooses the recipient. We have no part in any of that.
We cannot accept a request from a healthcare professional for their own fellowship. It must come from the organisation offering the award.
If your request is approved
We may offer all, part or none of the amount requested. Where we offer part, the agreement records the amount we will fund, and it is for your organisation to decide whether to go ahead on that basis.
No funding is released until a written grant agreement setting out the terms is signed by both your organisation and Lavender Medical. Payment is made to the organisation named on that agreement, and to no one else.
We may ask afterwards for evidence of how the funding was used, such as the programme record, receipts, or a short report. Approved grants are publicly disclosed at organisation level.

- Resources are finite. Not all requests will be funded, and a request may be funded in part rather than in full.
